The intriguing "Pilot" Episode chronicles 1500 years of Salvation-History, opening on the spectacular island of Skellig Michael off the coast of Ireland. This location is the best preserved Celtic Christian monastery in the world, and also the film set of the current Star Wars films with the mysterious location of Luke Skywalker.

Episode 2 combines passionate exhortations, interviews, and historical references to share the vitality of learning to hear, "a word from the Word." The Bible is ALIVE through the ministry of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Carl opens in London, then visits Scotland & shares the tales of the Covenanters (who gave their lives for the Word in the 17th Century) and one in particular: "Prophet" Alexander Peden, who wore a mask of real human hair as a disguise to evade authorities and preach the Living Word of God with boldness. Next, Carl visits Wales to share the remarkable tale of Rees Howells, a simple coal minor from the early 20th Century, whom God spoke to from the Living Word and challenged him to purchase a huge estate for a new Bible College. Finally, Carl visits a Concentration Camp inside the Netherlands that Corrie ten Boom (of "The Hiding Place" fame) once suffered in, to share a story of forgiveness and how the Living Word can sometimes bring reconciliation and even salvation in Christ. He includes a quote from Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of the late Dr. Billy Graham. He closes with another personal story of hope from his own cancer battle.

This Episode is an exciting story of revival, and he opens and closes in London again, alongside the River Thames, to illustrate how the Holy Spirit spoke through His witness specifically to 2 men: Evan Roberts in Wales and Frank Bartleman in Los Angeles in the early 20th Century. Very few people know the connection between the Welsh Revival and the Azusa Street Revival. Perhaps the most surprising element of this Episode: how did God utilize the event of the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 to bring a spirit of repentance, a turning from sin, and salvation with an outpouring of the Spirit to Azusa Street? In this exciting Episode, Carl visits Wales, to finish the story of the amazing Welsh Revival, and how the inner voice of the Spirit spoke in dialogue to Evan Roberts, which brought a shaking in Wales and over 100,000 conversions to Christ in just 4 months in 1904. He then travels back to the Bible College of Wales, started by Rees Howells, and shares about the leading of the Spirit (praying through Howells and a number of secret intercessors) in the campaigns of WW II to thwart the plans of Adolf Hitler himself! First Carl takes us on a journey to Scotland and to the unique story of Eric Liddell (of "Chariots of Fire" fame), winner of the 400 meters in the 1924 Paris Olympics. He then travels to Minnesota to interview 2 brothers who followed the desires of their hearts as fisherman. Their fishing show has been seen by more people than any other on the planet for 40+ years. Carl closes with talking to 2 modern worship leaders, one of whom sought the LORD for the "songs of Heaven" and received an answer from the LORD that will inspire you to follow your gifts and talents for God's glory.
